I’ve been a lot of things in my life.

I was a high school dropout. I joined the Navy at 17. I worked in aerospace, cleaned buildings, built businesses, worked in real estate and mortgages, waited tables, went back to school as a married father, became a chiropractor, an author, and eventually a speaker.

I’ve succeeded. I’ve failed. I’ve made money. I’ve lost money. I’ve made some very good decisions and some spectacularly bad ones.

I’ve also been in recovery for nearly four decades.

Somewhere along the way, I learned that the lessons that matter most usually aren’t learned when everything is going according to plan.

I don’t have all the answers. I’m not interested in pretending I do.

What I have is a lifetime of experiences, mistakes, victories, failures, stories, and lessons that might help somebody else make a better decision a little sooner than I did.

Wisdom from the Beard is where I share them.

Nothing complicated. Just hard-earned wisdom for real life.
